The Best Restaurant Views on the Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast has been seducing visitors for centuries with its beautifully rugged and colourful coastline. The region has become the mecca for travellers seeking awe-inspiring coastal scenery so it comes as no surprise that wining and dining with a view is a top priority for visitors. We dined at several establishments at vastly different price-points in our search for the best restaurant views on the Amalfi Coast. Our favourites are listed below!

Bellevue Syrene, Hotel Bellevue Syrene - Sorrento

The views from the Bellevue Syrene are nothing short of spectacular. The antique furniture with ornate frescoes syncs in perfect harmony with the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean. Diners receive an unobstructed view of the sunset which puts up an impeccable light show before the sun dips below the horizon.  The chefs at the restaurant are extremely innovative - every dish is a tasteful surprise without ever disregarding traditional flavours.

Address: Piazza della Vittoria, 5, 80067 Sorrento NA, Italy

Belvedere Restaurant, Belmond Hotel Caruso - Ravello

The luxurious Belvedere Restaurant boasts surreal views over the Amalfi Coast. Fishing boats and yachts dot across the sea and you can even see the enchanting city of Minori tucked away in a valley between the rugged cliffs. From an Aperitivo at the Bubbles Bar all the way to the complex and delicious dessert - the entire dining experience is lined by pure luxury. The Belvedere is a very popular restaurant so try to book your table in advance and be prepared to spend big for an exceptional dining experience.

Addrress: Piazza S. Giovanni del Toro, 2, 84010 Ravello SA, Italy

Terrazza Fiorella, Art Hotel Villa Fiorella - Massa Lubrense

This establishment is my personal favourite in terms of food quality, service, views and value for money. Diners at Terrazza Fiorella are charmed with a view of the Gulf of Naples all the way over to the island of Capri. The sky glows in vivid shades of purple, pink and orange during sunset! The food is a tantalising 4-course menu of local Italian dishes creatively concocted by the chef Francesco Esposito. The restaurant manager (also named Francesco) provides exceptional service throughout the night, including great wine suggestions - be sure to pick his brain on his personal recommendations! We loved the free parking on the premises, an amenity that should not be taken for granted on the Amalfi Coast! Be sure to visit the Sky Bar Cielo and take your aperitif there.

Terrazza Celè, Hotel Marnicanto - Positano

Terrazza Celè is strategically located on the highest point of the ascending oneway road Via Cristoforo Colombo. Its location provides a stunning view overlooking the colourful coastline of Positano. The interior of the restaurant’s terrace in various blue and turquoise shades perfectly harmonises with the backdrop of the ocean. Traditional Costiera and Mediterranean dishes are on the menu and is a great introduction to the incredibly large variety of exceptional local dishes along the coast. We suggest going with the chef’s tasting menu to not miss out on trying out unfamiliar cuisine in a beautiful setting.

Address: Via Cristoforo Colombo, 50, 84017 Positano SA, Italy

Maestro, Villa TreVille - Positano

Villa TreVilleTr consists of 4 connected villas and used to be the home of the great Italian filmmaker Maestro Zeffirelli. The restaurant has a prime location with one of the most majestic views of Positano. The menu focuses on fresh, locally sourced ingredients such a daily freshly-caught fish, eggs from their own chickens and wine from nearby vineyards! Make sure to have your aperitif at the hotel bar. Beware: the bar is so ridiculously cushy and inviting, you might end up staying there all night instead.

Address: Via Arienzo, 30, 84017 Positano SA, Italy

La Tagliata - Positano

This little gem is tucked away in the hills towering over the centre of Positano offering inspiring panoramic views of the colourful little town. Aside from the view, La Tagliate is known for its relaxed atmosphere, great service and never-ending quantities of food. The best thing about it? There's no menu so each dish comes as a little surprise! It's a fantastic way to explore local specialities.

Address: Via Tagliata, 32B, 84017 Positano SA, Italy

Ristorante Bruno - Positano
If you don't mind eating next to a road, this restaurant offers front row seats during sunset along with down to earth local Italian food. Their wine list is surprisingly extensive too. For a tourist epicentre like Positano, the prices are fair and the view definitely makes it well worth a visit! Address: Via Cristoforo Colombo, 157, 84017 Positano SA, Italy
